How to get cheapest life/home insurace

Howdy. Does anyone have any advice on how to get the cheapest life and home insurance quotes? Do you get a discount for getting both from the same company? Is there a good broker anyone would recommend? I'm just looking for the most basic package in both cases, no added extras.

they're both very cheap so the difference between companies is very negligible. I went with BOI for Life because it was handy for me as I was already doing my mortgage with them, €13 a month. My home insurance worked out cheapest with Liberty, €20 a month (an apart though so I could only cover contents, assume house is more expensive).
