Now to leave it as the bickering is worse that 2 siblings.

Can you stop your psycho analysis please. Nothing wrong with my attitude.

It was said here that there were "reports" of them all being out. There are no links apart from tweets to be found. Nobody claimed they're from news agencies.

People don't depend on them like we used to as people on the ground can tweet updates earlier then news agencies.

I'm leaving it at this as I don't want to derail the thread with bickering.

No but the diver who died trying to help, videod himself boarding the plane saying he was on his way to help bring them home...…

So go on...give the dead diver as much sh!t as Elon Musk

Saman Kunan, a retired seal member who chose to help although he didn't have to. A true hero who ended up sacrificing himself to save others. I'm so grateful for the people like him in the world.

No, it should just be made safer. Dangerous areas cordened off etc.

In that case every road, beach and lake in the country should be shut down as people have accidents all the time.

Yeah, they wont be doing that. And rightly so.

It will be secured a bit with lights and (permanent?) supervision and it will attract a **** loads of tourists.

    I posted something similar yesterday.

The reason why this rescue issuch a success is that it had goodwill from the world. There was no politics, heroics or one-upmanship, or bitchiness, everything was done with a quiet dignified determination by the Thai Authorities, it shows what can be done with positivity and teamwork.

Lot to be be learned from it.

That's brilliant news, fair play to the professionals involved getting them out.

    Marvellous work.

    What a wonderful, breathtaking achievement.
The people who risked so much for total strangers are true modern day heros and deserve every praise and reward given to them.
Wonderful brave people, well done to all.

Cave diving is the sort of thing where experience trumps everything else. The two Brits have been doing it for 25+ years, that's the kind of experience all the money in the world can't buy.

Restores your faith in mankind , so many people willing to go to any lengths to get everyone out safe , even putting their own lives at risk .

Delighted everyone is out and safe , it seemed like a story of doom at the beginning :)

Any expectation when the last of the divers will come out?
Presumably they'll leave any equipment behind to retrieve in the dry season?

I doubt it, I'd imagine they'll get everything they brought in back out. Given that they know what they are dealing with now, it'd be a doddle to get it done now.
I'd say there's not that many tanks in there now.

Stephen Speilberg to direct the film I'd say. A role for Tom Hanks somewhere in it.

To be honest unless they find a way in from the top or they push back further into the caves I can't see all of them making their way out alive.
I also can't see how they could be sedated and brought out by divers..some of those passageways are extremely narrow and having 2 divers trying to carry a child while squeezing through passages and at the same time monitor the child's mask etc would be nearly impossible?
    Fingers crossed all survive though!!!

    Map of the terrain level

Never been so happy to be wrong in my life!!!.
    Condolences to the diver's family.
