I think Neymar would be a much better teacher

Always be careful of reading too much into hysterical and sensationalist media rubbish.

You can be fairly certain that they had back-up pumps there ready for such situation, but as the operation was over it was a simple cry out to the professional divers to get out so that they didn't have to start installing new pumps.

It seems the boys are in good health and will be released home to their parents on Thursday. Great news!

According to the Irish Independent, it's undersstood the next "danger" the boys face is dealing with being celebrities. A surviver of the Chile miners' rescue advised that they should not be allowed to be alone with lawyers or journalists, who will be looking to profit from them. Apparently two Hollywood film studios are already getting ready to make films based on the rescue. Life will never be the same for these kids.

    this bit ?

Responding to a journalist Musk said: 'Never saw this British expat guy who lives in Thailand (sus) at any point when we were in the caves.

You know what, don’t bother showing the video. We will make one of the mini-sub/pod going all the way to Cave 5 no problemo. Sorry pedo guy, you really did ask for it.

Musk seems to have lost all touch with reality during the course of the Thai cave rescue.

    Negativity, backstabbing and bitching?

I think this story shows what happens when qualified experienced personnel, plan and execute a task to the best of their abilities.

Posting unresearched plans on twitter in an embarassing and blatant PR move did not help in any way to rescue the lads. Thankfully there are people out there who are willing to risk life and limb, not just post ****e on twitter.

God help all Lord Elon's fan boys, you really are an embarrassment.

Musk sent 10 engineers from SpaceX; Tesla, his electric car company; and the Boring Co.

They asked him to continue with it and now say it may be useful in the future

His stuff seems to work :

Tesla’s giant Powerpack battery in Australia has been in operation for about 6 months now and we are just starting to discover the magnitude of its impact on the local energy market.

A new report now shows that it reduced the cost of the grid service that it performs by 90% and it has already taken a majority share of the market.

    God help you.

Maybe Kim Kardashian should have done her part and sent 10 hair dressers.

Musk does not deal with criticism well. Youre an idiot seems to be a common argument of his. The two posts (now deleted) attacking the cave diver would open him up to libel surely?

Then you need to follow more world news. The latest from the rescue was Musk, his tweet following criticism of his sub idea etc. The kids are all safe and well.

I think in Musk's view, the kids would have been safer and weller if they'd used his sub to get out.
He can't seem to comprehend the cave divers with 30+ years of experience, who had been all the way to the kids and back multiple times, had more confidence in equipment they had been using all their careers, than in something that didn't exist the previous week.

Can you imaging taking something like that into the tunnels and it malfunctions/gets stuck?
What are the rescue divers going to do then, take out the manual and go to the 'Troubleshooting' section?

Yes its a shame the thread has been taken over by the Musk discussion. not only does it ruin the feel good factor but its giving Musk exactly what he set out todo, PR.

Consider yourself lucky your not au fait with him.
You obviously filling your life with things of more value than him. Dont google him, you dont need to know who eh is or what he does.

Back on topic, now that the rescue was such a success, I expect the movie will definitely go ahead.
Im actually looking forward to a Hollywood dramatisation of it, Im pretty sure there will be a 'real events' documentary which lays all the facts and technical aspects bare and gives recognition to the heroes and all thsoe who took part.
I also think there is a room for it to get a full major movie treatment where they add all the special effects, suspense and slick production that only a major studio can do. 2 movies, a documentary and a blockbuster and a giant box of popcorn.
It would be nice to see those kids, maybe even the rescuers roll up to the Oscars in 2 years and we all get to revisit the unity that this story brought us all.

I'm all for finding new ways of doing things and making it safer etc but this seemed to be more PR than practical. Your point about possible technical failures is right but also it wouldn't have fitted from what I understand.

It will be interesting to see how they 'movie up' what happened.
There can't be any element of surprise, since we all know the outcome already.
Do you think they can add a romantic sub plot like Titanic?
There also isn't much scope for spectacular effects, like when the Titanic started to sink.

Maybe they could exaggerate a villain's role in the movie?
Perhaps a media hungry, global power tripper who tries to take over the rescue for the sole benefit of his corporations only to be thwarted in the end by an old local British cave diver?
Just as well I didn't go into the movie business...

Maybe a role for Musk - providing the other side drama. LOL!

Joking aside, I'm looking forward to seeing how this will be portrayed.

I hope the Thai will make the movie themselves

Bangkok Dangerous was a much better movie than the American remake of it. They are well capable of making great movies.
