Is there any way to get Insured if you are a new driver?

Hi there, I'm trying to sort out getting a camper van, but seem to run up against some issues with insurance. Is there anywhere that insures if you are over 25 but lacking proven driving experience? I have to sit my test for the first time (after many years of driving on provisional licenses + few years out of the country)…

Hi there,

I'm trying to sort out getting a camper van, but seem to run up against some issues with insurance.

Is there anywhere that insures if you are over 25 but lacking proven driving experience? I have to sit my test for the first time (after many years of driving on provisional licenses + few years out of the country) so will be technically a first time driver.

Can't understand either if I was to get my dad insured then add myself as a named driver?

Any ideas or am I chasing a dream here?
