Been working my way thru 4 large felled spruce trees and the branches are nearly now all stacked by the trees. They are getting a good drying in this heat. Should i now not let them outside in the winter ?

A man is rich in proportion to the number of things which he can afford to let alone.

Keep them off the ground. If they're more than stove width in diameter, cut and split them now so they'll dry with the most surface area. Allow air to circulate freely through the stacked splits. Cover the top (not sides) of the stack to protect them from the rain. You can leave them outside where they'll dry out. They will NOT dry out more in a shed than they will when air can circulate around them outside.
