How long does a transfer to U.K. take to process

    How long does it take for the money to show up in the payee's account when I make a STG transfer to the U.K.?

    In Ireland, when transferring to a BoI account, its almost instantaneous, when transferring to an AIB account, it usually shows up the following day in teh recipients account.

    How long does it take for a STG transfer to a U.K. (Barclays) account take to show up?

    A Sterling transfer, requested before the 3.30pm cut off time, may take up to three working days to reach the payee's bank. We've more information on International Transfers here.

    Yes, the limit depends on how the payee has been activated. For payees activated by SMS the limit is €10000 and if it's done by post it's €20000. We've more information on this here.
