Wow, that footage of the Force India sliding across the pit exit in front of both Williams

That is gas the two lads coming out of starting from the pit to that :pac:

Man that was lucky with the Force India.

    This too shall pass.

Jesus I was not expecting Hamilton to be hit from Raikkonen just after the race start. A wheel on wheel between those two.

What a race we have now today. This is going to be good.

    Perez is a lucky boy

Jesus that was a close one for Perez, he almost wiped out the Williams exiting the pitlane

Doesn't look like any body work damaged for Hamilton. The force India across the pit lane exit must have been surprising for the williams

    10 second penalty for kimi

    Hamilton already in 11th

There can't be much wrong with his car and it's clearly not broken as he claims.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,888 ✭✭✭donspeekinglesh

    Ten sec penalty for Kimi

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,497 ✭✭✭✭flazio

    10 second penalty.
    Taking one for the team.

    This too shall pass.

I think Hartley is definitely out this time.

Hamilton is still having trouble with the car.

Raikkonen has a 10 second penalty in the pit lane.

Wonder will Vettel pit early and try keep track position over Hamilton

Think that's a bit harsh on Kimi. I don't think Hamilton left him enough room but I'd like to see it again.

    Hamilton up to 8th

There was enough room for Kimi, if he didn't outbreak himself.

That would involve him having a competent strategist.

    This too shall pass.

    Hamilton up to 8th

4,5,6th are still possible for him

If he pits now he would be in front of Hulk but then the tyre has to last longer and overtaking seems possible

    Hamilton passes hulkenberg for 6th

Top 6, you mean - Hamiton just strolled past him ...

11 laps in, already one eye on the tyres ... if there's a safety car, I expect everyone will hit the pits just for safety.

Probably not necessary for them to cover Hamilton and better to keep going longer into the race while his tyres are good

Wait he is in front of Kimi with the penalty now, even a podium is possible now

I knew it wouldn't be long before Hamilton was blamed for Kimi outbreaking himself.

Hamilton nowhere near the apex. Kimi had loads of room.

Lewis is doing well here to be gaining back the places. He is now in 6th place. If he keeps it a consistent level to win the GP again for a 6th time; he is definitely one lucky boy if he is the outright winner with 40 laps to go.

Kimi on the radio is always great.

If M50 traffic was like the traffic Hamilton had it'd be great. :pac:

Could end up close with Kimi and Hamilton, might end up close for Hamilton's fuel use.

it shows how bad the rest of the field is . hamilton overtakes 2\3 of the field in 12 laps

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,990 ✭✭✭Cool_CM

    Unhappy Kimi

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,904 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

A safety car would bring Hamilton right back into play, it's not impossible for a podium

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,888 ✭✭✭donspeekinglesh

The gap between the top three teams and everyone else is ridiculous. Forgot LMP1/LMP2, this is more like LMP1/GTE.

He was able to cruise through people not fighting him. Seeing the pace the Red Bulls have Hamilton should be easily in 4th if his fuel usage doesn't hurt him later.

Hamilton pushing as hard as he is is just going to shred his tyres.

Will probably need to save fuel later aswell.

Kimi to crash into Hamilton again when he tries to catch up and overtake him ? ;) :pac:

Absolutely, it's the biggest problem F1 has. And people complain about theme songs, graphics and logos all the while probably cheering on the front 3 teams

Kimi is on medium tyres now.

Will Hamilton use the Hard tyres for the rest of the race by doing a one time pit stop?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Can the mediums do 39 laps?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,675 ✭✭✭the_pen_turner

have we seen any overtaking yet.
