    Hello,
I planted 10 Lillies back in mid April they were a mix of Oriental, Asiatic and Commotion Lillies. Two sprouted at the start of June but they haven't grown since and now don't look too good. Pics are here:

Two have sprouted now and look healthy:

Nothing has happened with the other six. I dug up one of the bulbs and the shoot that comes out the top looks dead:

Can anyone explain to me whats going on? I'm new to all this gardening stuff and I have never planted flowers before so have no clue whats happening. I followed the instructions for planting exactly, and have read that Lilies are easy to grow.
    Thanks
    Ross

My guess from other things I can see in the picture is the the problem is over watering.

Lilies are easy to grow just don't bother watering them.

It does look a bit wet and the dug up one looks like it may have rotted. Lilies like well drained conditions.
Slugs may be gnawing away at the growing points in the first two pics so pop some pellets around them.
