Sophie O'Sullivan wind her heat in 800m in 2.12 or so, showing good strength over the last 5 meters.

Sarah Healy a comfortable winner in her 1500m heat and will race the 3,000m final tonight @ 5.40pm.

Should add, Jumbo-Gula's heat time of 11.59 was a championship record.

Also being covered daily on Eurosport, although there doesn't seem to be any commentary on at least some of the sessions (sometimes that's a blessing!)

In the Boys' 1500m Heats yesterday, one of the Irish (McPhillips I think?) lost a shoe early on when he was bumped. He fought on with one shoe to the finish, in the leading pack until 200m to go. It was very bad luck on a big stage for him.

Adeleke 2nd in 100m heat, v comfortable in lane 8, 5th fastest, a solid run should get her into the final.

Adeleke winning the 200m is great work. Fastest European this year too. I think only 5 girls have run faster in the world this year too.

Mind you Tamari Davis from the US looks like a one-in-a-generation talent. She's breaking Marion Jones' records at that age.

Jaysus the 2 of them are only 15!

.02 oustside Michelle Walshes youth record from 40yrs ago!

9th fastest Irish woman ever over 200m.

Sophie O'Sullivan getting Silver in the 800m.

No shame losing to Hodgkinson. She would have had a second or two on Sophie's PB anyway.

    O'Sullivan second.

Sarah Healy is competing in the 1500m this evening at 6:10. You can watch it online on the european-athletics website. Ireland is, amazingly, joint-5th in the medals table this morning (after 3 days) and first in the girls-only medal ranking, after golds from Rhasidat Adeleke and Sarah Healy and a silver from Sophie O'Sullivan.
Sarah Healy looks certain to win the 1500. Her PB is about 10 seconds ahead of the next best time.

Gold and championships record for the wunderkind. Hope she enjoys this moment, it's a special one for her, her coach and family.
