Funny fact , New Zealand Marmite is quite different to British Marmite, its sweeter and less salty.
    Still tasty though.

Quite a history and very interesting facts, CJ! The design of the British bottle / jar wins, IMO.

I recently watched an episode of Judge Rinder, where a woman had spent £60,000, her life savings, collecting vintage jars of Marmite. She believed they were a great investment because they were increasing in value with age. On the show, she was suing her son for dropping a box of them - I think her main reason for being there was for her "15 minutes of fame" and to publicise her collection by setting up exhibitions. Judge Rinder, after playing the situation for the cameras, dismissed her case, because as he ruled, she should have had insurance on her collection to cover accidental breakages, etc.

Marmite mad mum spends entire savings on yeast extract and now plans to open her own museum

Some hate Marmite as they think you spread it like jam etc. thickly ..
I remember mixing it with butter before spreading it, to more evenly "dilute" it.

Singer Billy Bragg takes the piss out of himself by accepting that many people either like or hate him. So you can get marmite like t shirts at his gigs.
