Bumper respray cost - Dublin area

Well, came back from the supermarket and some ignorant clumsy prick has left a foot long gouge in my rear bumper - so a full respray is required. What's more annoying is I purposefully parked away from everyone else.

Anyone have any idea of the kind of repair cost for a bumper spray (with parking sensors). Recommendations for body shops in Dublin would also be welcome.

You will be talking about between €250 and €300 for the job.

Thanks. I was fearing a 500-600 bill. It's just one of those things, people really don't care when they damage someone else's property.

Could be. Ask a bodyshop. It's hopelessly inaccurate to be guessing without at least a photo of the damage.

I had a full bumper resprayed last year and it cost €300 so not a guess from me.

It's such a variable though, based on car, quality and location.

We work with 2 highly regarded body shops in Dublin and both do a bumper corner repair for €295 unless it's a very unusual car or colour.

I know someone who had one done last week and it cost double that.

It's highly variable as TFB said.

You wouldn't be able to tell me which shops you use? By PM if necessary. I'm in Dublin. I know it's hugely variable, but I just want to get a ballpark idea before I go looking around.

I've attached a picture of the damage. Its a Peugeot 508, damage caused by what I assume was a side swipe by a shopping trolley.

Same here. Bumper a few months ago and €300, this is for standard metallic and a tiny bit of filler.

Any idea of what a door respray would be?

    CarVogue, cant recommended more,
    1. Quality of work,
    2. Rates.

    http://carvogue.ie/services/price-list/

Id say 250 for the whole bumper.

Wife had a similar incident where her golf was hit by someone while parked up (151) a few months ago. Sent photos of the damage to Carcraft in north dublin. 280 to respray and couldn't fault their work. You can send in your photos to the website and they'll get back with a quote. At least it will give you an idea of cost even if you go elsewhere.

    Edit: As rabbitinlights said :)

I'd say around 300 for a bumper re-finish sounds about the norm. I've unfortunately had to do it a couple of times in the last few years and it cost around that - by a very good professional bodyshop.

Now if there was more significant damage, e.g. front grills or other trim in bits or even worse - the cruise control radar on a front bumper damaged, then the cost could be multiples of that.

Another vote here for Carcraft, have used them before and getting same job done next week on my car with some other touch ups for 280.

Thanks all for the recommendations! I'll send of pics to a few and see what I get back.
