I noticed that castroviejo has been last or near last on the first 2 days, really taking it easy. Was it to ensure sky are on the road early tomorrow? Or just so he can put in a monster effort tmoro with plenty in the legs? Marginal gains and all that...

Geraint or one of TJVG or GVA in yellow baring mishaps today!

Sky going so early will be a big disadvantage to them. Sure, they know the pace that they can go and will want to win, but without any guidance on the best time to chase, surely this will be difficult?

Is the team classification made up of the top 3 riders?
hours for 2 days riding would add up to about 3 riders times.....(25 hours)

Sky always seem to manage the effort better in the second half, looks like it again, 4s up at 2nd time check

Any idea why Vasel kiryienka isn't here for sky? Don't think it's injury as he won his national TT the other week.

Dan and UAE give away 1'38 to bmc, 1'34 to sky.

Tbh, its not that bad, id say if you offered him 40s back from froome, porte et al after 3 stages he'd have taken it.

True, but he's also given away 64 seconds to Uran who was at @ s.t. with Martin

I'd be more concerned about Uran than Porte - Uran has a far better record in the GTs

Quickstep going through a tactical explosion maybe?

    Edit : Clearly not..

    Sagan blowing up

Wow some recovery from Quickstep in the end. Could have won it but for that implosion earlier.

I really like the TTT. Is it not generally liked? Wondering why they don't have one every year.

Ha really ! I would hve thought Porte better than Uran! I know Uran has a runner up in tdf but Porte is better I believe. Uran followed wheels in tdf last year

If porte manages to stay upright, he'll finish ahead of uran. Big if though...he'd be one of the guys i think will struggle on the cobbles

Since 2012, Uran has had three second places and two sevenths in GTs. Porte has a single fifth place in the same period. Plus Froome will probably mug Porte again somewhere along the way, just to mess with his head.

I don't think Uran will win, but it's likely he'll finish ahead of Dan

Froome’s bike handling could see him undone! Karma etc...
