    Top 20 I’d say.

Think his highest was 18 after WGC but could be wrong

17...a couple of months after Bridgestone

Sky looks very ominous there. Last thing shane wants is a delay due to lightning

    jaysus Willets trousers are terrible.

Mcginely will claim victory at some point.

    irish open etc.

Lovely interview from McDowell there especially after the bad day he had himself.

Lowry getting rub o' the green with that kick from 200 yds out

    luck of the irish

The gods are on Lowry's side so far.
    That bounce was blessed.

The Rain Gods are smiling on Shane. Great bounce there.

Those running the official Open website are a joke. They're persisting with the Holmes/Koepka group, instead of showing the Lowry pairing - despite Shane being more than ten shots ahead of them.

but that was their group picked. you cant just change . thats the idea .

anyway id say balancing act against paid broadcasters who want real action.

Weather looks shocking now. If he can get through next few holes without damage it will be great

Manky stuff now. Has something happened ?

For all the negative talk about gmac and his accent online I always liked his positive outlook. This week meant a lot to him and to hear him speak about Shane, Rory, Darren and Pádraig as they are all one and pulling for each other.

    Fierce soft out there now.

Glad I’m sitting on my couch watching this anyway.

When out in this all I can ever think about is getting back in and taking a 20 minute long shower.

    God it's lovely out.

    Holy fook. Rose shanked it.

Usually worn by some lad on the boardwalk with his hand down inside the front

In a cruel way, it's nice to see they're human.

That's not good enough. You persist with the lead group, who have a respectable pedigree between them & greatest chance of lifting the Claret Jug. JB Holmes? He was never going to last the pace. And Koepka was seven back at outset.

It’s a free service. If you want to see the leading group, pay for it.

Not a disaster seeing as Fleetwood bogies too

    Are conditions becoming unplayable?

    Are conditions becoming unplayable?

Nope. Links can take that easily.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,285 ✭✭✭big_drive

    Are conditions becoming unplayable?

    Close enough I’d say

Just keep ball in play now, bogies are ok just avoid the double or lost ball

  • Registered Users Posts: 352 ✭✭GolfNut33

    Are conditions becoming unplayable?

No. Unless the course gets flooded or too windy then they'll play away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,275 ✭✭✭tobsey

Nope. Links can take that easily.

Wayne Riley was saying they’re not sand based greens like links usually are so they mightn't be able to take as much rain. It seems to be easing off though anyway.

    was looking at weather .

    no real let up

    He's beginning to settle now.

Not unlike the pint of Guinness he’ll be drinking in two hours as a major champion.

What happens if play is stopped because of the weather?

just mark tge ball on the course and return whenever.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,190 ✭✭✭munsterlegend

The heavy rain will ease in the next 45 minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,645 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

    Shane still in short sleeves.

Could be another dropped shot here. Luckily no one can make any ground at the moment except Westwood who is playing well.
