    Hi

looking for advise on bringing down height of an old hedge -mixture of leylandii and griselinia. My corded hedge cutter is not able for anything too heavy duty - if I hired a petrol version would it be able to power through the hedge or would it be better to try and get into it with a pruning saw? Pictures attached.

    advice welcome. Thanks.

Cut it all down as far as you want, you'll loose the leylandii but I've seen 50ft griselinia cut back to 3 foot stumps and grow away again.
