    Hi all

I am Irish and my girlfriend is non EU. We live abroad and were thinking about coming back to Ireland next year and as I understand it, as we are not married she will need to take an approved college course to be able to stay (and pick up some part time work).

Ideally we would like to be back in Ireland early next year but her college course wouldn't start until September. Does anyone know the rules on how long before a course she can arrive and/or what she can do to legally be in Ireland in the meantime. I understand that she can only stay for 60 days as a tourist so that isn't really enough time. Ideally we need a way to kill 6 months or so.

    Thanks
