Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Am looking at bringing one across from the UK.

Been looking up for any known issues but nothing really flagging as a "Known" issue that would be unduly common.

Is there any watch outs for it?
    Volvo V70 D5 Business 2014

It's a 2.4L so what would the road tax be also? I've been told €270 but that seems a bit low

Tax is as low as €200 for a 2.0 181ps version in manual, and €270 for the geartronic automatic.

The 2.4 215ps is €270 for the manual, the auto is €570
You can check the rate of the particular car by putting the reg into cartell. That will tell you the emissions figure.

Note that the 2.0 auto is 8 speed and the 2.4 is 6 speed, and there’s very little between them for performance (obviously 5 cylinder sounds nicer)

    It's a 2.4L 215 Manual

Cheers for the Cartell emission figure note

From ones I've seen advertised in S60/V60, the "Business" models tend to be a strange specification. Usually cloth seats but built in Nav (which was never cheap). Presume aimed at Fleet's to keep costs down. Wouldn't consider a Volvo without at least half leather/alcantara.

The venerable 5 cylinder 2.4 lump was right at the end of it's considerable life span in 2014 so all issues had been ironed out. We had a 2.4 Twin Turbo D5 XC60 (205ps) for 4 years and the only issue was oil level rising when it didn't get a decent run often enough.

All good to know. For once the leather is not an issue for me with the car seats and isofix bars in and out most days.
