Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Could be a mental health issue involved here. A bit little of sensitivity wouldn't go amiss.

Disgusting behaviour. Being prosecuted is exactly right in this case. Our society is already a cess pit without **** getting their rocks off in public.

Oh yep the ould mental illness schtick....I've said it many a time mental illness is used to excuse all kinds of inappropriate behaviour and crime these days and it's also disgraceful to trivialise it like that to avoid taking responsibility for one's own actions.

If it goes to court his lawyer can just yell out

    ''erection your Honor ''

If he fails to appear then the defence could say that he fell down the stairs and broke his pyjamas.

No other members of the public were around?

Surely an official warning would have sufficed so.
No, all other members were kept in their trouser pants.

Maybe the evidence wouldn't stand up in court?

A MAN who infected two women with HIV was arrested on suspicion of raping another.

The African man, who is facing a life sentence after his conviction this week, is also the subject of a separate rape investigation by Terenure gardai.
The rape allegedly happened at a property in south Dublin on March 16.

It is claimed the man filmed the attack and that the alleged victim gave gardai a full statement in relation to the matter.
The man, who has been investigated over drug dealing activity in the past, was arrested and questioned for several hours at Terenure Garda Station."

Drug dealing, knowingly spreading hiv, raping a young one while recording it- what an asset to our little island. The fella masturbating is only in the hapenny place to this piece of filth

So this fine contributor to our society only got 10 years for the carnage that he caused. Both of his victims attempted suicide as a result of being deliberately infected by this 'man', with one of them ending up in hospital after attempting suicide numerous times. He harassed them continuously after infecting them; following the women and telling the people in their company that they had HIV.

Judge Martin Nolan though accepted that the man was remorseful (see the harassment part above), that he was young at the time and had had a difficult upbringing in his home country (witnesses? or took his word for it?), and agreed with his defense solicitor that that the man would have a very difficult time in prison due to him being African. So that's why he only gave him 10 years, which we all know is probably 5 years; possibly less.

And if you hadn't guessed already, the man has five previous convictions, including four for drugs and one for possessing a knife.

He should have received 2 life sentences.

We have enough problems within our own society. But why should we keep letting in more of these people with previous convictions to just add to the problems. Another one to be kept by the tax payers for 10 or 5 years. 5 years hard labour and sent packing after that more like it.

Suspended Sentence Nolan actually gave a Sex Offender a prison sentence.
    Will wonders never cease.....

Are you referring to the film "Shakes on a plane"?

And the DPP should appeal this lenient sentence to the Court of Appeals.
10 years (5 years per victim) is insufficient. This sex offender with previous convictions has destroyed the lives of these women.

They should be dropped home to their own country from 25 thousand feet. No chute.

And let that be a lesson to potential danger **** aficionados out there. The Gardaí will catch you.

    You're only codding yourself here.

    Put your lad back in?

And have him bragging to his mates about getting the holy grail of danger **** - the cops actually letting him go.

It will become acceptable and lead to situations like this next:

Admittedly he's our problem. But highlighting the facts that there are people coming into this country with past offences and intent on offending again is not a crusade.
