Can't remember the last time I watched an entire GT stage from start to finish. Absolutely epic stage. No Kirby was an added bonus.

Delighted for Degenkolb and Martin after yesterday. Gutted for Porte.

I wouldn’t be a huge fan of watching a full stage of the TDF but I sat down today to watch the GAA and flicked over to Eurosport to see how things were going and ended up watching the full stage and missed the ga ..
Very entertaining stage today and couldn’t keep my eyes off it..

His post-race interview was really something. What a time he's had. Great result.

Just watched the highlights it was so good I had to see it twice. Wonder what he was saying to GvA before the sprint when he was looking back at them :D

That was the only bad part of it for me. I think Kirby is a great commentator.

    Just watched the highlights.
What a stage. Might take a while for it to sink in. You have to love the pavé!

they're absolutely brilliant, particularly the capture of the 2 Sky riders mid-fall. not because of who they are, but imagine the photographers sitting there for a couple of hours hoping against hope to get some good snaps and then managing to get those!

I wasn't too interested in this year's tour but watched the highlights yesterday on Eurosport and thought it was a great stage. I wonder how much it cost in damage to wheels and bikes etc.

listening to interviews on TV & Podcasts with riders & Directors there seems to be a split on whether that stage should have been in the race.

In fairness, I'm now hearing more than CK calling him that.
And not just commentators/TV pundits either, I've heard other riders and team management using it too.

I suppose the Welsh name 'Geraint' isn't the easiest to pronounce, especially if you're not a native speaker, and even native English speakers who aren't from a Welsh/Gaelic language region could have difficulty with it.
