Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Honda Accord CL7 petrol - clutch issue?

    Hi,
Have to pump the clutch pedal a few times to get into gear and there's usually reluctance to come out of gear when the pedal is pressed. Have tried bleeding the system and replacing the cluch slave cylinder but the problem is the same if not worse. Could it be the master cylinder? The clutch itself feels fine, but the pedal has a low enough bite point.
    Thanks,
    Dan

The clutch master cylinder is a more common issue with the CL7,than the slave one.
Also the pedal housing can develop cracks and then it would flex while pressing the pedal.
So stick your head down there with a torch and look for cracks where the clutch pedal mounts to the bracket.

Had a look, seems fairly solid. Have a master cylinder ordered, hopefully will arrive today. Pedal slowly sinks to the floor at times so I'm fairly sure it's the master at this point.

Was the master cylinder in the end, all sorted.

Air is getting into the system somehow. Hard lines are the only thing I can think of at this point. Any other ideas?

Depending on the age of the car it could be the lines.

If air gets in then fluid gets out and should be visible if you have a look after pumping the brake a few times to build pressure.
