The Big Cat has a lot of tape on his neck. His tee shot down the first was perfect but he looked like he was either in pain or got something in his eye.

There was talk on twitter that his management team reported that he woke up with a crick in his neck.

There's just something I suppose....ethereal...about the first players teeing off at 6.35 am with the last players going out at 4.16 pm.

Butch Harmon....."he (Tiger) probably hurt his neck filling up his wallet last night !!"

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.

Might have been asked but couldn't see it, is the open only on sky sports or do another channel have coverage (BBC, itv etc?

Darren Clarke on commentary, he lacks personality but has pretty good knowledge

Won't have to worry about him much longer, after this he's retiring from the European Tour to play the Champions Tour in the US full time

He’s is big as he ever been. He should have retired after he won the open as for him reached the top of the mountain

If there's an equivalent of the claret jug in the women's game, the engraver will be hoping that the Thai player Sherman Santiwiwatthanaphong doesn't win. Also the commentators will be hoping she doesn't figure too prominently either.:D

So, from the sound of things, the guys who got the best weather yesterday morning are likely to also get the best weather this afternoon too.

The luck of the draw in the open could put a few guys too far out of the mix to contend at the weekend

I don't know about that. Certainly the holes are playing longer this morning, but I don't think the course will dry up so much as to change that this afternoon. It's also an advantage at the moment as balls aren't running into bunkers like they were yesterday and the greens have slowed up a lot, causing a lot of putts to run up to the hole and stop. Again, with a very light wind and not much sunshine forecast, I can't see that changing in a hurry.

Edit: Weather forecast is now giving sunshine and a stronger breeze later this afternoon, so that may have an effect if it's early enough in the later rounds.

Is that Fanny Sunneson on the bag for Adam Scott? Haven’t seen her for years.

Justin Thomas having a mare, 3 double bogies in a row even I'd be disappointed with that.
