Where is that on their range of flying speed (say, compared to fastest bits of their display routine)? (Yes, I'm an aviation ignoramus :o)

300-400 kts iirc depending on the manoeuvre

The Catalina is showing on FR24 heading towards Bray?

Seems like some are re displaying possibly due to bad weather earlier.

Eh it’ll be up the Liffey at either 57 or 58. They’ll be doing about 300kts. Last time it was Howth-Chimneys-Bal.
    Padded it for contingency.

Still hoping to get them all the way from LAPMO to the Port. Wx/vis is good.

Any changes to plan for the arrival of the Red Arrows into Baldonnel for ~ 20.00 ?

What call sign do the Red Arrows use? Will they be talking to Dublin approach on the live ATC feed?

    Looks that way

They are inbound now. No smoke left unfortunately.

I think what red1 meant was they have no colored smoke left. Normally they may have emitted green, white and orange smoke as a courtesy.

Nothing to be seen or heard in Clondalkin.

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

No they are a few minutes out. There last R/T call was over the Isle of Man

They just flew over sandymount with a smoke trail.

I think they may have just flown over Clondalkin.

EDIT: I can see them heading in one by one to land

Last one just landed at Baldonnel now. They all did a fly past releasing smoke over the runway before breaking formation. Flew directly overhead as the looped back, pretty amazing site!

Did they fly up the the Liffey

The only smoke the use is their own colours they have never used different coloured smoke only the Red White and Blue

Got a good view of them from Blackrock coming in over Dublin Bay and up the Liffey with smoke on before banking hard left to head to Baldonnel. Looked like there was a chopper filming them over the city.

11 aircraft seems extravagant since they're only 30 mins from home. Someone must have fancied the jolly.

Well they've done 3 shows in the last two days, imagine one or two of the planes could be as cover. They seem to be putting a lot into the RAF 100 year celebrations so maybe they want to ensure they always have 9 planes fully available to perform.

They used white smoke so as not to offend anyone.
Used the white smoke on their arrival in 2016 & 2005.
