Got the Redmi note 8 pro for a friend with 4500mah. She's told me the battery not lasting more than a day even though she's not using mobile data yet as she's waiting for the 3 plant to start and she ain't using it on WiFi either.
    I expected more .

I wouldn't take too much need until she has a SIM with a data connection. She should be using WiFi though. When using WiFi you save battery as the phone doesn't look for mobile data signal. There could be a lot going on without any connection at all, you should try airplane mode in this case

Which of the AliExpress stores do people trust ? I have personally used HK Goldway 3 times without issue but they don't have what I want.

Specifically need trusted stores for Xiaomi and Realme

AliExpress are trustworthy . Whoever you go for , use DHL for shipping.

When you go to "wallpaper" in settings, chose your background.

When you press "apply" it will ask you what you want to apply it to.

    Select lock screen

AliExpress are trustworthy . Whoever you go for , use DHL for shipping.

Why, you're guaranteed customs with standard dhl

Some of the Ali sellers offer customs free DHL shipping
They ship to Europe first then on to Ireland, costs an extra €20 or so

There ok if your willing to wait weeks/month's regardless of it saying in stock or not. They have their issues like most places. It you're in a hurry for it, buy elsewhere.

    Tempted.... (Heads up)

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33034267652.html

It was down to €167 - No way would I buy it for more, and at that price I had decided not to.
    It's a clone/fake.

It's called a Boophone (I guess a pun on Goophone - fake iphone).
I can't imagine anyone would buy it here, as I think the offer is still on to get a real one for around €250 in CPW.

The only thing that would interest me would be the camera, and I doubt this one has it.
Amyway, they will likely start appearing over here on adverts, donedeal, 'phone' shops etc.. might be worth watching out for.

Evening people, I've just gotten a Mi 10 Pro and I'm trying to send an MMS but I keep kept an error message saying Message not sent: service not activated on network

Is this something I can fix in the settings or do I need to contact GoMo?

Yes you need to contact GoMo. AFAIK there's a charge for MMS's.

Thanks for the tip on this site... I ordered the realme X2 after the notorious eglobal surprise refuned me the fee for the same phone which I ordered two weeks ago

Ordered the Poco F2 Pro from Aliexpress with supposedly duty free DHL. Hasn't shipped yet so I could be waiting a while.

I'm coming from a Oneplus 6, so on paper it's a decent enough jump in specs. I baulked at the cost of the Oneplus 8 and at >€300 less this seemed to be a good alternative.

The only real downsides I can see are the camera quality and the 60hz screen. But I'd much rather have notchless over 90hz. Looking forward to getting it

I'd log in to your account and use the webchat. I've never had an answer from any email I've sent them but the chat has been fine.
