Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Means Test Review Form - Help ?

Hello, new here, and have a quick question about a Yellow Form I got sent from DSP . . .

Form is requesting information about means, is specifically called "Means Test Review Form".

I'm on JSA since last year - obviously did a means test for that, to get accepted for that claim, But is this different ? Is this serious . . . or is it simply just routine ?

Would like some advice on how to fill form properly, and correctly - it doesn't really ask for anything specifically, just asks to tick a few boxes about stuff like property or investments, (stuff I don't have, and won't in a million years either).

In regards to the question about bank account, I obviously have one, and there's bugger all in it . . .

But my main question is, should I just voluntarily print off some statements? And hand that in with the form in good faith ? And if so, how far back ? Because they haven't specified, how long should I offer to go back? A year ? 10 Months ? 8 Months ? 6 Months ? 3 Months . . .? Don't know !

Thank you all in advance, help and guidance appreciated in advance.

It's probably a routine form, periodically spewed out by the DSP computer.

Give them back what they ask for. If they didn't ask for bank statements, don't send any. If they did, then send them 3 or 4 months worth.

Generally speaking, unless you've won the lotto or your financial situation has changed for the better (in which case you need to come clean with them immediately), a problem will arise only if you don't send it back within the specified time.

Thanks for the quick reply there, much appreciated.

No, have no big lottery win or any similar such windfalls, for sure - I hover around having around 900 to 1000 savings Euros in my bank account, at best.

But it's funny, they still have this knack to make you nervous, even when you have bugger all - why oh why all the nervousness and anxiety, I hate it. They make you feel like you're singlehandedly bankrupting the country with your 193 quid a week.
