    Hi,
At the end(!) of rennovating a 40 year old house. The first floor flooring is tongue & groove which is battered in places where it was removed for Elec & Plumbing changes.

Want to attempt to sound insulate as best as I can so intend to:
    - add insulation between joints.
    - screw back in T&G where removed
    - lay a layer of OSB or Plywood on top
    - seal the joints on this with a silicone?

    - Lay an underlay
    - Lay the laminate

I don't mind losing some height (will replace or cut doors if need).

Should I use Plywood or OSB here?
    12mm suffice for my needs?
    thanks
