    Hi All,

Looking to lean on some of your wisdom to help a couple move towards saving and applying for a mortgage 1st time buyers.

So we both have a little bit saved in each of our Credit union accounts about 10k in total but we'll be making a push now for the next 12 months to save intensely and need advice on what bank to go with for the best interest rates and would it look better to start saving with the bank you will ultimately get a mortgage from?

We're looking for somewhere we can avail of a joint account, salaries monthly combined going in would be about 5k, and we'd be looking at moving 2k into a savings account from there, and we'd also like to deposited the existing 10k into the savings account at the start or soon after.

Thanks in advance, I've done a lot of looking and nothing looks great, KBC do have an okay offer on current account plus a saver account but my communications with them over the phone and the branch have been less than comforting...
