Expiry of fixed rate term

Hoping ye can clear something up for me
We have a fixed rate mortgage until 31/07/19

We will be putting our house up for sale in March next year and hoping it will move fairly quick.
So my question is this
When can mortgage be redeemed without penalty ?
The last fixed rate payment will be on the 1st of July.
Payment on 1st of August will be variable .
Does that mean the mortgage can be redeemed in the month of July or not till the start of August onwards ?

Yeah I decided to ring
Can't be redeemed with breakage fee until August 1st

Breakage fee NIL at the moment .........variable rate still marginally higher with them for now though
Still it’s peace of mind that it won’t cost a load to break it most likely
