Because BMC had known of the issues regarding the continuation of the team into 2019, virtually no rider on the current roster had a contract for 2019 including GVA, Dennis, Porte and Roche.

With the announcement that the merged CCC/BMC team will be built around GVA and the classics it does not look good for Roche so a move to a new team is likely. Porte's crash may also impact Roches chances of getting a free reign in the Vuelta as Porte has already indicated that he will ride if the injury clears up in time.

At this stage of his career it is hard to know where would be a good fit for Roche

Still a vey good domestique ...but teams like Dimension Data , EF usually have space for lots....but dont pay well

UAE might be a possibility as they have massive funds and NIco woudl be a good Dom and could get a few chances in some smaller races

Porte is gone to Trek, Nico might follow suit, there's a few more Bike Manufacturers swapping teams - Sunweb are meant to be going to Cervelo, so that's moving Giant to Lotto Jumbo, which in turn could mean Bianchi are going to UAE .. haven't heard where Colnago will end up.. but I am dubious about the UAE Link for Bianchi.

Bianchi confirmed continued sponsorship for Lotto Jumbo the other day.

Surprised that Roche wasn't on the Euro Championships panel, although I think that seems to be a bit of a poor relation event.

    Seven Worlds will Collide
