But the diploma is only on January and September so if no call for Jan 2019 then it'll have to be a call for September 2019 we will be hoping for. Our panel will be closed when they start calling for January 2020 I presume

They can do what they like I suppose. You could do practical training in Oct 2019 and that'd be before the cut off then they could stick you into the January Diploma. Do the clerical officers do compulsory diplomas? Are the EO diplomas compulsory?(As in could you do certain tasks without having to do the diploma)

CO’s in recent years do compulsory ITI certificate exams. Diploma is compulsory for all new EOs to Audit

Not sure. There's different courses for people with different experience. As in someone with accountancy qualifications would have to do less training. Clerical officers don't get the option of the diploma, at least not in my office cause it's not relevant to the work. Like if u get promoted into audit u have to do some formal training

What happens if you're not available to take the call? I'm in the 80's so expecting a call in the next couple of days but I'm back on night shift tomorrow night :/ Would I be wrong in assuming they will also email you the offer?
Anyone know what time of day they call at? :)

Got a reply back from the placements email:

"There is only one overall (nationwide) panel. Candidates will be contacted in order of merit for the locations specified on their application form should a vacancy arise in that area. Unfortunately, as we do not know how many will arise in an area or how many may accept them ahead of you I cannot give you an estimate on how long it will take."

So they’re not giving region/county specific information?

It seems to be the same pattern like last years campaign.. They start with Dublin and go to other Counties then??

As in they aren't calling it yet or they are not calling it for January intake at all?

Their exact words were "we are currently not calling for those locations"
