Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Winner: Manchester City :)
Champions League spots: Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal 2 of 3
Europa League spots Man Utd, Spurs, Leicester City
Relegation: Cardiff, Southampton, Watford Watford was I thinking!?

    Top Goalscorer: Harry Kane injured
Most Assists: Kevin De Bruyne injured
Player of the Year: Nabi Keita injured
Young Player of the Year (U-23): Trent Alexander Arnold :) Even if Sterling won it.

    Best Signing: Xherdan Shaqiri meh
    Biggest Flop: Richarlison *cough*
Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Paul Pogba Bang on.
Breakout Player: James Maddison Decent shout I think

Surprise Team (Good): Wolves got this right
Surprise Team (Bad): Man City* Got this right**
First Managerial Casualty: Javi Gracia See above

Audacious Prediction of the Season: Jose Mourinho to still be in charge at end of season. Obviously I was joking about this.

*by which I mean they'll only win the league by a few points due to CL and lack of signings in midfield.

** one lousy point and yes lack of midfield did actually hurt them a bit, just not enough.

    Breakout Player:

    Surprise Team (Good): Palace
Surprise Team (Bad): Man United / Southampton
    First Managerial Casualty: Mark Hughes

Audacious Prediction of the Season: I suppose Palace getting into Europe, Mourinho to get sacked before Christmas and Liverpool to be within 3pt of City at the end of the season.

Jaysus, I called Mourinho getting sacked before Christmas :pac:

A few other good shouts too - Got 3 of top 6 correct, including Liverpool and City being within 3pts of each other! Got 2 of the relegated sides, with Southamption in the mix until late. Hughes was also second to get sacked this season.

Was off with Palace and individual awards.

    Winner: Liverpool
Champions League spots (2nd, 3rd and 4th, in order): Man City, Chelsea, Spurs
Europa League spots (5th, 6th and possibly 7th, in order): Arsenal, Man Utd, Wolves
    Relegation: Watford, Brighton, Cardiff

    Top Goalscorer: Harry Kane
    Most Assists: Kevin De Bruyne
Player of the Year: Naby Keita
Young Player of the Year (U-23): Diogo Jota

    Best Signing: Alisson
    Biggest Flop: Richarlison
    Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Alexis Sanchez
    Breakout Player: Jota

    Surprise Team (Good): Fulham
    Surprise Team (Bad): Watford
    First Managerial Casualty: Javi Gracia

Audacious Prediction of the Season: Hughton to be sacked by Brighton in a panic move as they slump towards the drop zone - he is later appointed the new Ireland manager.

Pleased with my top 7 shout, even though it didn't quite come off in the end. Suspected United's season would be grim after that summer window and knew Liverpool would do well with theirs. Pleased Wolves lived up to my expectations. Badly misjudged Watford though.

Player-wise, expected Keita to be more influential than he was. Think the Jota praise was well justified in the end.

I'd stand by my Alisson call as signing of the season. Richarlison though was better than I thought. Would stand by Sanchez as most underachieving. Stealing a living at this stage.

Got my surprise package calls awry. Keep expecting Watford to pay for their managerial ruthlessness but it's not happened yet. Also thought Seri and Sessegnon would leave Fulham somewhere like 12th but they did little of note.

The Brighton slump arrived but later than expected, plus others were worse off when it came.

Overall, don't think the Psychic hotline will be wanting me just yet but happy enough.

Jaysus, thats what, roughly 12 draws and 26 wins so 90 points.

The most points picked up and not to win a title is 89.

Pool would want to have an amazing season to have 2 teams finish on 90+ points.

    :o

    Good call Gav! :pac:

    Winner: City
Champions League spots: Pool, Utd, Spurs
Europa League spots: Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton
    Relegation: Cardiff, Watford, Huddersfield

    Top Goalscorer: Kane
    Most Assists: De Bruyne
    Player of the Year: Kane

    Best Signing: Seri
    Biggest Flop: Mahrez
    Underachieving/Over-Hyped Player: Richarlison
    Breakout Player: Hudson-Odoi

Surprise Team (Good): West Ham, will push for top 7
Surprise Team (Bad): Burnley, in relation to last years 7th
    First Managerial Casualty: Dave Wagner

    Audacious Prediction of the Season:

Man City to go unbeaten and go close to bettering their points record from last year.

Wolves will crash and burn and struggle to stay up despite bringing in half of Portugal

Mixed bag although I got Wolves very wrong. :o

Expected City to go unbeaten and was spot on about them getting close to last years 100 points.
