So down 6 of the recent Irish first choice 23 plus James Lowe. Good christ. Did not expect Kearney and McGrath to be out.

Tomorrow will either be a defeat or one of those seminal moments when a number of players stake a claim to be Leinster front liners.

Looking at the forecast, it looks like it's going to be fairly windy. So, hopefully we have a better knowledge of the RDS and use this to our advantage.. Here's hoping!!

Even with home advantage I'm not feeling confident at all with those teams. That's pretty much half the first choice 15 missing. Be happy with a 1 point win at this stage. Definitely think we will be playing 10 man rugby tomorrow.

    Jack carty is from Roscommon.

The fact that Athlone is partially in both Westmeath and Roscommon comes up quite a lot on this forum but somehow a lot of people still can't grasp it.

Everything outside Dublin is basically Connacht, all the other counties are irrelevant

Managed to snag decent tickets for the match tomorrow through work, Block C of Anglesea stand. Haven't been to a game at this hour on a Sat in donkeys, will some of the pubs open a bit earlier?

Windjammer on Lombard Street, open at 7am. See you there. Make sure you wear the full Leinster regalia.

If there was ever a game for Ross Byrne to put his hand up for Ireland it's tomorrow.

And I've every confidence that he'll do it. He's a classy player and I don't think he's gets anywhere near enough credit for it because he's not as easy on the eye as a Carbery or a Frawley.

He’s better and more reliable than Carberry anyway, Byrne steps up for big games, Carbery doesn’t

Not sure if this has been posted, but anyway. Jack McGrath on the Trimble/Murphy podcast. Good listen/watch.

If Byrne plays a blinder over the next two weeks as a starter it would be incredibly harsh to bench Carbery ahead of him against England.

He'd already be my first choice 22.

Meanwhile, DART officials has advised Leinster Rugby that there is a limited service running this weekend due to engineering works taking place in Pearse Station.

All services from the northside will terminate in Connolly Station and all services southside will terminate in Grand Canal Dock Station. Dublin Bus will honour all tickets/Leap cards.

For anyone darting it tomorrow, especially anyone visiting civilisation from the Northside.

I don't think he will he purely because he doesn't cover anywhere else. He already spoke about having to train at 12 in Australia as Schmidt didn't want to be so restricted if put him on the bench.

Carbery allows Schmidt pick someone like Aki or Henshaw on the bench at 23 with Carbery able to play 15 to a high level.

Windjammer is owned by a pair of brothers who both played rugby in their day. Well, in school anyway. So wouldn't write it off.

    Great try by McHenry there

    Not looking too rosy!
Well, RK plays one match and then.....
It's very concerning, he's not played a lot this season.

Toner will be missed. He gets through a colossal amount of work and goes the full 80.
    He's class.

No Jack McGrath is worrying also. Hopefully he makes it next week.

It's funny how fortunes change. A couple of injuries and we look seriously weaker. The pack will really have to lay down a marker.

Massive test for Larmour. I'm not sold on him at 15.
I would have him at 11 and DK at 15.

    Anyway fingers crossed.

3 in reply there for Leinster, could have been more but the Munster defense did enough, albeit giving away the penalty right in front of the posts

Munster scrum seems to be well on top in the first half.

    Super try!

Great break and stepping from Munster 9 Charlie O Doherty to go in from the 22. 14-3 at half time a fair reflection so far of how the game is going

Bill Johnston has kicked two great conversions from out by the touchline

Munster completely dominant in tight exchanges unsurprisingly. Leinster had plenty of time in opposition territory to have another score on the board but can't hang onto it.

Not impressed by either attack at all, to be honest aside from the try on half time which was a combination of pace, footwork and weak defending.

Munster forwards are dominating the Leinster pack

Is it not Neil Cronin at 9?

Third try for Munster. Blowing Leinster away up front with close carries. Best attacking passage of game. Keatley and Sherry on at half time, oddly. Ball moving much better out the back with Keatley on.

Could be a heavy beating. Leinster have some good moments and then spoil it with some poor mistakes. Paterson threw a pass straight to touch to give away possession for that try.

Half backs having a terrible game, Patterson passed the ball into touch and Byrne kicked it straight out twice, his kicks are far from accurate

Every time Leinster get the ball, they’re just kicking it away

Leinster hammering at our line there for several minutes but Munster defence holds out
