Is it 1 v 8, 2 v 7 etc with no stipulations or if say we got Toulouse would there be a switch?

No stipulations, you can have repeats of pool games which is a bit rubbish IMO.

We can get Toulouse again if it falls that way.

    And yes it's formatted like this;

    Club 1 v Club 8 (QF1)
    Club 4 v Club 5 (QF2)
    Club 3 v Club 6 (QF3)
    Club 2 v Club 7 (QF4)

    Semi-final 1: winner QF1 v winner QF2
    Semi-final 2: winner QF3 v winner QF4

Is Toner due back next week? Would definitely like to have that attacking lineout option away from home and Lowe had such a game against Wasps in round 1 that you would hope he can come back in.

Fardy was immense yesterday to be fair but Lowe and JGP would be the 2 out of 3 I'd opt for next week. Gibson Park is possibly going to be starting for the next few months in all likelihood.

Let's just hope no one jumps knee first into Lowe's head this time out.

He said he would definitely be back next week when interviewed in the Laighin Out afterwards.

Henshaw and O'Brien to get some game time against Scarlets I reckon.

I expect Henshaw to be in the 23.
If he doesn't start, I think he starts v scarlets.
Jack McGrath will be in the 23 also.
Hopefully,Toner is back and ready to go.
Not sure what Wasps will put out but, I think we'll go in with guns firing.
    Can't underestimate them.
Great result yesterday. The team is very deep and it's crazy to think that missing a guy like Sexton, we can still put in a performance like that.

Great if Lyon could do us a huge favour here and beat Sarries

Lyon look very up for this.

    The dream is alive.

Can't see Conan, D. Kearney and Fardy dropping out of the 23 altogether. Fardy in particular was very good yesterday. Otherwise can't disagree with that team.

Fardy falls foul of the 2 foreign play rule and I wouldn't be remotely surprised to see DK drop out to be honest. If Henshaw is back and they pick Lower over Fardy then it is almost definite.

Don't really get the Conan dropping though.

Conan walked off a little banged up yesterday. Give him the week off.

Lowe needs a game which is why Kearney and Fardy don't get into the 23.

Lowe is going to get a lot of games in Februrary and March.

For some reason I completely brain farted on the Kolpak rule. Makes sense now!

Leinster still need to actually win an away game in England next week.

    Lowe for Kearney.

    Toner for Fardy.

I don't think that critically undermines our chances at victory.

Possibly. Depends on the nature of the injury.

If it's a non issue then fine. But I can't imagine they'll be allowed to play him if it's anything more serious.

    Allowed by who?

He will either be ruled out by the Leinster medical team or he will start.

I was under the impression that the IRFU can meddle this close to a tournament?

The IRFU are not going to meddle with what is still a vital European cup game for a potential, but not quite certain, substitute.

If there's any worry over Conan and he is out next week then Ruddock starts over Deegan at 8.

I'd be surprised if O'Brien is in contention as well.

I doubt Conan will miss out unless he picked up an injury. Being banged up wouldn't force him to miss a game we still need to win.

He only broke his arm. Surely it's a case of healed/not healed. I could be wrong here but I would have thought it was much more straight forward to slot back in when the doctor clears you Vs a muscle tear in Henshaw's case.

Some of those have been hit and miss but that’s a good one without doing the obvious height gag
