Ross Byrne is having a great game btw. His pass for OBrien's try was excellent. Long skip pass that was perfectly directed for JoB to run on to. Some lovely chips and grubbers as well. You can also see how hard he's worked to develop a carrying game too. Will never be at Carbery's level for carrying, but he's now threatening the line.

The blood was already there from a previous incident.

No excuses for the collision with Reidy though. Clear red card.

No I mean there should be transfer if there was contact, as in Fergs blood should be on Reidys face.

Very early to take Ross Byrne off.

I hope it's not an injury. Looks ok on the bench.

Strange switch so early for Byrne , has to be injury

Game's a bit of a dead rubber, more than likely just minding him for the knockouts in case he's needed.

I don't like how Clancy has all of a sudden decided he's going to ref the offside line.

McPhillip's is a pretty poor 10 really. Takes too long to make a decision.

He was good at the end of last season, but hasn't any game time this year.

We've defended very well albeit conceding a lot of pens. We need to get this ball clear without them scoring.

Defended so well, but switched off at that final ruck.

That shouldn't be a try. Rea looks offside.

Daly looks like he's in some serious pain.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,090 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Broken arm or shoulder injury for Daly?

    for what

He was about 6 inches past the line. I think the ref probably got a good view first time.

It was some effort though, incredible to get it that close.

Dave's had a bit of a howler today.

How often does that happen? Ref calls advantage over and someone knocks on

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,090 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Probably the game there.

Been some good performances from a Leinster perspective. Ross Byrne is on top form, as is Noel Reid. Jimmy O'Brien ran good lines and has great pace. Impressive performance. I also like the look of Ryan Baird. Plays a very physical style and makes good ground carrying.

Fantastic play from Penny and then from Cave after Leinster won possession back.

I wondered about that too. I assume that Clancy was so relieved that they finally managed to score that he let it go.

Can anyone clarify the law about crawling along the ground holding the ball. Can one do it indefinitely? And how can a crawler be tackled by an upright player without the latter making a high tackle?
