    Luke Fitz?
Yeah, Luke was signed straight from school. Although I think Rob Kearney took a similar trajectory.

Edit: Yeah, Luke was 18 when he signed for Leinster. Turned 19 that September. Rob was a bit older at 19 the March before he joined Leinster.

Did Luke ever have a central contract?

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,677 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Not much visibility of what those contracts were though is there? Just reportedly central contracts, they've only started releasing the list of players signed to central contracts in the last few years.

Lukes first one was a leinster contract, think he signed a new one the next year though and no idea what type that was

It’s hard to compare, the contract policy has changed so much over the years.

There used to be way more central deals. The likes of Declan Fitzpatrick had one.

Jaysus, Henshaw rushed back! Doesn't say a lot for the coaches' faith in Tomane

Henshaw would have had a far heavier international workload that Larmour last saison, and will probably again this year

Clearly going to be your new Ben T’eo type crusade, think I’ll put this one on mute

Henshaw was injured for a lot of last season, and I wouldn't be so sure about their likely workloads just yet.

Squidgy rugby has done a piece on who would win between Leinster and Crusaders. Doesn't answer much but is interesting all the same.

At least 13 of the 23 from outside Dublin possibly more. Not that it matters but just to prove a point to a troll. We are all blue together in Leinster!!

Luke McGrath was born in Canada.

I agree. The coaches also clearly have no faith in James Ryan as he can't even make the match day 23.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

No harm in Tomane getting a break this week and letting him know that last week wasn't acceptable. There are a number of players who are fighting for game time and he'll need to play to his potential if he wants to start.

Or Scott Fardy, if he's been dropped for Ian Nagle. :D

Larmour is rotated in for another heroic Irishman, Fardy and Tomane are out as dirty foreigners dropped for their betters.

That's a very strong team who will probably spend the evening wishing that they had more than one second row on the pitch!

Didn't realise Dominic Ryan's retirement was confirmed. Just 28 years old.

Leinster 7-28 up against Ulster in the Celtic League. Tries from Harry Byrne, Conor O’Brien, Scott Penny and Ronan Kelleher.

Tomorrow's Independent is running an exclusive interview. I was listening to an ad for it and the voice over mentioned his career being cut short due to concussion issues.

Leinster A have beaten Ulster A 28-43 up North.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

That's a very decent win. Leinster had guys like Molony and Ed Byrne in the pack but aside from those there was next to no senior experience. Doris has one start. Vakh has two sub appearances last season. The rest were academy players. I'd have thought the Ulster 1-10 was going to give them a good beating in the tight with Peter Browne, Ah You and Henry all starting and the match in Belfast.

That's been known for a good while now. He's taking some sort of case against Leicester. Or he was, the last time I looked.
