Was his right hand not under the ball before it left his hands forward??

Unfortunate with the forward pass but we look lethal on the counter.

Those are the kicks that Byrne has to be nailing but I've no confidence in him to do it. They should be 75/25 but I find them far closer to 50/50.

How was Lowe not penalised for jumping into the tackle there??

Possibly because he passed it at the same time, ie: he wasnt jumping to go around a defender.

    Oh dear JGP.

On the replay, that pass was never forward.

Looked like Scarlets hands in there no?

I was thinking the exact same thing

Good finish by Ferg, thought he was just going to try and bowl them out of his way for a sec!

Great maul, great team work and great try

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,169 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    That's a super try.

The maul, the pick and go and the finish.

Superb finish from McFadden. Very happy to see JGP over straight away. Scarlets have been completely off their feet and messing with the ball. Needs to be highlighted.

    Great response.

    Excellent finish there.

    Lovely finish by McFadden.
Ruddock did very well to get that ball out of the ruck too.

That finish deserves a lot of credit! I thought he'd get bundled into touch.

Nagel has shown some nice handling tonight

Cullen will be delighted with that try, textbook maul even though Scarlets looked to disrupt illegally off the back.

    Terrific finish from McFadden.

I actually don't understand how a professional player can make as many stupid errors as JGP does...

Leinster inviting a lot of pressure on themselves.

Scarlets were looking like they had deja-vu after being marched up the field by Leinster a few times but kicks like that just invite them back into the game.

Scarlets diving off their feet at every ruck and nothing said to them. Literally every single one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,169 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Hows that a penalty?

Yellow aside, Josh Murphy is having a quietly effective game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,126 ✭✭✭ironingbored

How is that a penalty. Perfectly good counter-ruck from Cian and ball on Leinster's side.

He never called it as a ruck tho

Kicking out on the full from the base of a scrum. Ball comically going through his legs at an attacking ruck and him not copping at all. Failing to pick up the ball at a ruck on his line.

I mean, I like him alright. But his errors could have been much much costlier.

I'd like to see that Ruck again, thought a Scarlet's player sent that ball on it's way.

Toner a bit hard done by but should have been listening to the Ref.

Dunno if you guys have the same commentary, but Warburton is a breath of fresh air: easy to listen to voice, calm and reasoned, unbiased, decent enough analysis. Quite impressed I must say.

Warburton on comms saying Leinster were hard done by too.
