    Hi All,

I can't seem to find a straight answer to the question of do I have to have an airtightness test and BER done on a new build even if I'm not selling/renting or otherwise. Gonna be living there for a long time to come so is this still necessary?

    Thanks!

Air tightness test yes, in order to comply with building regulations.

BER certificate yes, in order to comply with SI 666 of 2006.

    Two different laws.
