Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Contaminated land / remediation in Ireland

Anyone know of much work in contaminated land consultancy / remediation contracting at the minute in Ireland? England is coming down with this sort of work in brownfield sites -particularly London and South East England. Just been thinking with the housing crisis and "building boom" at the moment in Ireland there seems to be a demand for a lot of different jobs from builders / project management civil engineers etc. but there doesn't seem to be much information on  remediation or Environmental Science style work in the country atm?

A quick google check for companies seems to always take up work in England / English companies which I find very hard to be the case that this isn't the case in Ireland too?

There would be a lot more contaminated land in Britain, given it's industrial history. The main cases in Ireland have been improperly operated landfills and Dublin's docklands.

There is environmental science work in doing EISs for projects.
