he won't eat into gametime, but could well eat into his time as the out-and-out striker.

Trippier returning to training by the end of the month as suggested in the link would be in just over a week and in that time Spurs play Chelsea. The first game in December is Arsenal. If he just misses those two games holding him on the bench makes sense to me. It's more the Mendy injury that has derailed the TRAM from what I can see.

Maddison back is a very unexpected surprise. I'll hold him now even if he's out this weekend.

Watford is tough enough, so if Robbo is at all right, I can't see him being rested. but you never know with PSG around the corner.
