Rucksack & sleeping bag

    Where would be a good place in Cork city to buy a good rucksack for back-packing along with a sleeping bag suitable for cold weather? Last time I bought a pair of them, in 2007, was in the Mahers Outdoor store in Parnell place which has since closed down.

    Adventure store on Daunt Square or 53 degrees north on Paul Street jump to mind for me

    +1 for Adventure store, great selection. I find 53 degrees north to be a tad pricier.

    Theres one outside porters there at the moment -also another can be found by Penneys -the lads are after flying home after sitting there all weekend with their hands out
