    Welcome all to Isla Sorna,

If any of you experienced sea sickness or were splashed during disembarkment, please find some towels (spared no expense) in the foyer.

On Isla Soma our dedicated scientists hatched the first dinosaur eggs of this new Jurassic age, as you saw in our introduction video they were able to complete the dna sequence of the dinosaurs by mixing the remnants of dinosaur dna found in mosquitos from the period with the dna of the closest living relatives of the dinosaurs. In addition to being the home of all of our bio tech, Isla Soma houses our dinosaur nursery where our dinosaurs spend their first year of life, the handlers here monitor each dinosaur individually until they reach sexual maturity to ensure they are suitable for placement on Isla Nublar, young dinosaurs can be particularly aggressive and so the handlers who work with them are the best of the best when it comes to wild animal management.

Please feel free to explore the research facility you now stand in. You are free to view any of the lab rooms and dinosaur enclosures that you wish, but please do not engage with the dinosaur handlers. They are a touch upset at the moment with an issue in the living quarters, and might not be especially receptive to unscheduled visitors! And after all they do control the dinosaurs on the island, so we need them focused on keeping the dinosaurs safely inside their pens.

If you have any questions, please feel free to drop into our paleontology department for insight into dinosaurs that are here at the park. If you have any safety concerns, you can speak to our head of security.

We keep mostly herbivorous dinosaurs on this island, but for any who are interested, the raptor pen can be found in the east wing of this building.

As per your welcome pack, if you do have any security concerns, please report them to us by the end of the day and we will follow up!

We hope you enjoy exploring the facility. Welcome, once again, to Jurassic Park

    Rules:
All rules from the main OP are still in play.
Your task is to find any wolves that are on this island.
If you eliminate all the wolves on this island, you will return to the main island.
You may be returned to the main island before all the wolves are eliminated.
Anyone with a backroom should log out of their given account and log back in now. Any issues with COP, please PM the game mods.
No discussion of activity on Isla Tacano is permitted on thread or in the back room of players based on Isla Sorna

Well this is confusing. Uh, hello again? I have questions. Many questions.

What do we do about the lynch here? Is there 2 lynches?

Yay no Isla on our list, so no need to worry about that!

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,085 ✭✭✭Orla WW

Lol I did check for her name too.

So, we have to lynch from just us then? There goes my plan to see who was munched and then work from that <sigh>

Ok so if we're stuck here on our own and are getting our own lunch then how are we gonna go about things for the day? Are we doing an FFA? As we all know enything can happen in lynch day one so I'd rather get stuff sorted early enough. at least we don't have too many suspects to look at.

Interesting, 13 and no the island and it sounds like raptors are on this one. How many baddies do folks think likely for a split of 13, about 3?

Something else of note- if mods have told roled players to log out and back on that likely means some teams are also being split up. Could have implications for the kill rate were up against

We need to go over the welcome pack. Those feeding times may have more significance now.

Without knowing how many wolf teams there are or how many are on each team it's hard to guess how many there could be among us. 3 seems like a good call though. of there are 2 wolf teams maybe it's one team per island? 3/13 is decent odds right? I'm bad at odds.

So should we try an FFA? Or any other suggestions?

Tricky to know what to do here. If kill rate is high we have a problem since at this early stage lynched on both islands are more likely to hurt us than the wolves. I’m a fan of ffa from early on but not sure how it will work in a split game format. Lets make a call by lunchtime with a view to running with a strategy for early evening

Might be on to something there. But then again, they could have just given the split teams a sep thread within their room? dunno though.

An FFA? We know nothing right now lol. I agree there is a good chance of 3. The way I am thinking is.

    13 players

    3 wolves
    1 Seer
    1 Priest
    1 role?

I would imagine each island has the same.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,016 ✭✭✭Clodagh WW

It defo aint no "Love Island" anyway :D

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,553 ✭✭✭Fiona WW

Wow this is something new, so we just have to lynch the wolves on our side and we go back to main thread, what happens then?

Do we wait for the other island to finish or would there be a baddie on the main thread

Hope we have the seer on our side

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,853 ✭✭✭Mary WW

So there is 13 of us on this Island. .

Are the presuming then that there is no SK ? Just two wolf teams with either 3 or 3 per team ?

    That means potentially 3/13 baddies.

"You may be returned to the island before all wolves are eliminated". This suggests that there is a set time that we will be returned to the island so prob shouldn't get hung up on that side to it.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,457 ✭✭✭Ewan WW

so while we're here are we assuming 2 wolf munches and 2 lynches each day? this game could be over ridiculously quick.

I’d usually say if we have less than square root of n as the number of wolves it’s balanced enough. Unknown power roles make that trickier and it’s more volatile with small numbers I think but 3-4 would feel about right from an odds perspective, depending on how many wolf teams there are.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 4,085 ✭✭✭Orla WW

I need to get my notepad and pen out.

I’m thinking that maybe there was never going to be a munch this morning so the idea of there being tasks is now moot.

My starting point is to take notes on how we have all interacted with each other so far. Having a smaller amount of players to research is a bonus too. I’d better get working so. May take a while as I have RL stuff but I’ll be as quick as possible.

Well like I said day one lynch is usually bad for us and we have a smaller pool to work with with perhaps 3 wolves in the list so it's worth talking about as a viable option anyway.

Just reading the welcome pack. Said the other islands housed the birthing facilities to name but a few? Maybe when we all go back to the main park we take some noobs with us?

not sure onthe times thing for feeding as it has till Friday. With a high kill rate it wouldn't last that long. Maybe there will be respawns and such.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,853 ✭✭✭Mary WW

Notes from the welcome pack - 7 HR roles with no pictures - Cant think what relevance it might have but odd there were no pictures. 3/3/1 split would indicate baddies teams /SK? Maybe Im reading too much into it, just an odd thing in a comprehensive pack.

I would of thought we wouldn't be that long on this island. If we were here for days by the time we get back to the mainland we would have no clue who was good/bad and no readings on guests. Would be very difficult to lynch anybody with no reference point.

on the welcome pack it has Tuesdays 11am - Raptor Pen - Might that be the next munch at which stage we flee this island back to the mainland ?
