Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on places or shops that would sell old Dublin posters/signs/memorabilia?

Theatre, gig, or event posters, maps, old shop signage, old postcards — that kind of stuff.

The antique shops at the west end of Parnell Street sometimes have that sort of stuff in the window.

There's an antique place right under the bridge on Talbot Street (just a short walk from Connolly) that would have these sorts of things too.

This place in Islandbridge, D8 wouldnt have posters but might have old metal signs

They tend to get stuff from DCC for salvage and resale, Ive seen full sized Dublin Corporation lamposts in there before as well as Telecom Eireann phone boxes, old post boxes, etc. They have a room near the reception that has lots of smaller items, some of which might be Dublin specific such as 1988 Dublin Millenium memorabilia, pint glasses, plates, glass milk bottles, that sort of thing.

Its a great place to pop into if youre in the area, they dont mind you walking around browsing (just be careful of the forklift!) and if they dont have what you want the staff are pretty knowledgeable on the chances of getting it.

There is a shop on Capel Street just as you come to the bridge before crossing, it sells all vintage stuff like that.  Think there is another one around the corner from the Boars Head on Capel Street too (on the luas line), may be worth having a browse.
