I'm looking for a battery operated lamp.
Has anyone seen any such attractive table lamps anywhere?
    TIA

Is it a night light you're after?

If so, likes of Argos, Woodies, Homebase, B&Q etc should be able to help you.

If not, what type of lamp you after, what purpose?

No, a regular decorative table lamp.
It's for a spot with no socket.
    If such a thing exists!

I wouldn't imagine so, to be honest.
Never seen a battery operated traditional lamp.

How about something like the Philips Hue Go, requires power but has an inbuilt batters that lasts a few (supposedly 3) hours so if you can recharge it elsewhere and position it when required it might work. Expensive though and could get you started on the expensive route of other Philips Hue products.
