€500 laptop

Hi guys I'm in the market for a lightweight, 14" laptop for my course plus being used for movies when travelling. I live in Dublin but can also buy online no problem. I'm also going to Belfast this weekend, would I be better buying a laptop there? Any suggestions on which one to get?

might be worth a look.
Do the usual checks with PC World (maybe Argos) to check prices and specs.
Then - set your minimum specs and maximum price and see where the best value lies.

Software: you have mentioned a course - so don't forget required software (office 365 may be provided by college)
