    From that website it says:
”Deezer HiFi is now compatible with Chromecast and speakers with Chromecast built-in technology.

Most Chromecast units produced after 2015 support FLAC. To start streaming in high fidelity, all you have to do is tap the Cast icon Chromecast.PNG.

You can cast from your smartphone."

You get the CD quality by casting.

Ah, I thought it meant if you casted to Chromecast from the desktop app or similar. Cheers.

I couldn't seem to get the option to buy another gift card in Turkish Lira, despite VPN etc, while logged into my account (email) which I used to purchase the 1st one (same one as I applied the 1st gift card to) - it would only show me € prices.....

I signed-up with another email address and was able to buy a gift card, which I have now applied to my original Deezer account and now have Premium sub until Aug 2020, all for < €35!

ETA: I used the same payment method 2nd time around (with the new email) without issue, payment went through 1st time
Same worked for me, cheers. No more spotify trials for the foreseeable.

€18.28 using revolut. consider i was paying €15/m for SPotify its a steal.

Only item im missing is controlling Deezer on my tv/laptop from my phone which is a feature on spotify

other than that haven't noticed much of a difference.

Deezer Music library 40 million licensed tracks

Spotify music library over 30 million licensed tracks

But some people prefer the layout of Spotify.
Plus Google home currently doesn't work with Deezer but it works with Spotify.

However all the Amazon echo etc work with both.
It's whatever is your personal preference really.

Just saw this - thought it might be useful for Google Home owners

I’m presuming this is still working but I have tried with NordVPN with different accounts and using visa and Revolut and all give an error about payment and to contact customer service. What am I doing wrong?

Just tried it there and it worked fine for me.

Ok. It must be me. I just tried again and I get

Possibly late to the game or I’m missing something?

Just tried Revolut, Visa Debit & MasterCard credit...all unable to authorise for either gift card or annual sub

Set up a new account when you are on the VPN. I had the same issue and think it was because my existing account was Irish.

Exactly that for me. Create a new account to get the Gift Card code and logout. Then login and use the code on your original a/c

Unfortunately this didn't work for me.I tried an Irish Visa and an US Amex and both rejected.

    Anyone else experiencing the same?

    Thanks

Was having the exact same problem trying to sign up to the family plan.
In the end i changed the vpn (nord vpn) country to Agentina.

The montly charge for the family plan here is 110 peso which works out at €3.05 according to Revoult statement i just recevied.

Not as cheap as Turkey but it is working for me now.

    Hope that helps

Is this my problem? Payment cards not registered in Turkey. Hardly?

I doubt many here have cards registered in Turkey!

Maybe try clearing your browser cookies, and going again. No reason why it shouldn't work

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 448 ✭✭Smokeyskelton

Tried this yesterday evening and it didn't work.

Cleared caches and cookies and set Nord VPN to Turkey.

Went to Deezer Turkey and it appeared in Turkish and prices were in Turkish Lira, set up new account while using Turkish IP address.

When I logged in everything fine, and site in Turkish and prices still in Lira, but payment will not go through after repeated attempts. I have tried Revolut card and two different Master Cards, but still get the same result as per Nunu's post #191 i.e. site will not accept payment.

It is possible they have blocked non Turkish registered credit cards due to the unusual rate of foreign registered credit cards?

Has anyone successfully done this either yesterday evening or today?

Might have to try the route of adr_sullivan at post #196.

Thanks for the alert OP, but doesn't look like it is going to work for me.

Did you try to buy the gift card or just the 12 month plan?

  • Registered Users Posts: 350 ✭✭TriStar6

Turkey wouldn’t work for me any way I tried. Changed to Argentina and it worked straight away. Slightly dearer at €20 for a year and €24 for the gift card.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,920 ✭✭✭dashcamdanny

Did not work for me on the PC.
But used Nord free trial using my Andriod phone and it worked a charm.

Stacked it the second week with express vpn.

    Try the app.

I tried both the gift card and the 12 month plan. Didn't work on either.

I have tried everything I can think of on the laptop. Maybe I'll try the mobile app later and see how that works out.

Thanks again to the OP and all the helpful advice on here.

Same here, tried 3 different cards, 3 different vpns. No success on setting up subscription. Can buy the gift card, but no success on setting up HiFi sub.

I bought the gift card for 12 months, then activate it and logged into my Deezer app but it's still asking me to update to a paid account and I'm getting adverts.
Can anyone help or any ideas what I've done wrong?

    Great offer btw OP

Just to clarify, when signed up for the Hifi version, can you stream lossless quality from your mobile device? Someone suggested a couple of pages back that you cannot?

Only if you're casting to a Chromecast or compatible HiFi

You cannot listen to lossless directly on your phone

Ah shiiite. Most of my listening is off my phone like when driving or in the gym. Strange how Spotify can provide HQ streams from the phone and Deezer can't

I got 13 months of Deezer HIFI today.

    My subscription plan
    Deezer HiFi
    You're a Deezer HiFi user, since 06/08/18.

    Next payment due
    DATE
    05/09/18
    AMOUNT
    119,88 TL   - (€20)

I used Windscribe Pro VPN to go to Turkey -(Bosphorous)
Went to Deezer and clicked on the offers tab
Selected the 30 days free trial on the HIFI tab
Signed up and went to the account in settings where there was the option to sign up for the year or pay monthly.
It was showing the discounted yearly offer for 119.88TL or monthly 15TL per month which is about €2.50
I used Revolut card to pay for the year and Deezer will not take the payment until next month which will then start the 12 months subscription.
So thats 13 months of the HIFI (CD quality) streaming for €20...great bargain.

Tried to do this just now using NordVPN and getting this error message
We are unable to complete your transaction.
