    .. it'll only get worse I'd imagine.
For €120 I have a feeling Currys will just offer a refund rather than replace the unit. They'll claim they have no more stock and they won't be willing to replace with a different SKU.

For the price i'd live with a loud fan, maybe do a warranty claim down the road if it becomes unbearable.

Mines grand.2 seals at bottom were cut though but packaging was immaculate!
I reckon they're selling off a lot of the cheaper packages to get more people to buy into the games and subscriptions for Christmas to compete with Sony.

By all accounts it's the fan and common enough, I might open it up and take a look. Returns never work out.

Be better sending it to Microsoft to get fixed rather then Curry's.
Curry's will offer just a refund I'd say

Very impressed with gamespass and the library, enough to keep me going there for...ever?

That 500GB hard drive is starting to get pretty cramped already though...

You can buy an external hard drive and plug it in to expand storage. It needs to be usb 3.0.
I had same issue but had a spare drive and it added an extra 1tb.
    On game pass I liked
    Pes2018
    Gears of War 4
    Dead rising 3
    Fallout 4
Not had had a chance to play rest

I started downloading a game this morning at 10:30. It's just hit 98%.

Now imagine how bad it's gonna be when the next generation of consoles arrive and 4k resolution games become the base standard.

You'll be quicker transcribing the game's source code with a pen and paper.

Physical copy definitely the way to go.

Yes and no. It takes a long time to install a physical copy to the hard drive (yes, it needs to be installed), then you need to wait for the inevitable updates. On top of that, you need to stick the disc in each time you want to play.

Even with these you might need to DL updates.

I'd rather put a disc in than have an 8 hour download.

Bloody thing shut itself down before fully downloading too, so I'm still on 98.

To be honest though, I maybe think that modern gaming just isn't for me anyway. Everything I go into wants to sync to some server and try push me into some multiplayer guff. I just want to play a game and I don't give a **** how many "XP's" my friends have or how a score or lap time they had.

Does the controler have a internal battery or you need to purchase that seperate?

There were two standard non chargeable Duracell AA's in my box for it. That said, there's a micro USB port on it too, so I'm not sure if you can maybe put rechargeable in it.

Then just dont connect it to the internet and use disc based games. No live/profiles needed, no console firmware updates, no game downloads/updates etc.. etc.. it just works.

Ah, interesting. Cheers. I didn't think there would be any functionality without a connection.

I picked up a two pack of rechargable battery packs for the controller from Argos in the north for £10. One charging while one being used, swap when it gets low. Think they're rated for 18 hours on a full charge anyway.

If I download a game via gamepass with the free access, if I then ditch gamepass can I still access the game?

Can't find hotwheels anywhere. It says it's installed but I go to click on it and it loads up horizon

Its DLC for Horizon, not a standalone game.

Yup, once you've played about 2 hours worth of Horizon it should unlock the Hot Wheels content, it's good fun.

If you won't to see space issues get a Xbox one X.

    Forza 7 takes up 100gb!!!!!

My 1TB is full with like 10 games on it and the idea of that 2TB drive is looking good to me.

There is the 4Gb white version for 110£, seems good value and looks better in the all white colour theme.
Do you get anything extra with the themed version?

    Hi

I bought one of these, it's still unopened (2 young babies) , I also bought call of duty advanced warfare (second hand). I'm now selling this as a package, I'm listing it here first before I put up on adverts. Price is 135 euro (just covering my costs) if anyone is interested in buying. Collection from walkinstown.

Hopefully goes to some who missed out on the deal or make a good Christmas present.

    PM for details
