Looking for opions on these E-Bikes

Looking at these three bikes and would appreciate anyone in the know opinion. All come with 500W batteries

Cube2018: Best parts spec of the three. Has Bosch 50Mn motor so presume it goes up to 25KPH

Giant 2018: Says it a giant sync drive which I presume is the yamaha, says 80Mn motor so not sure if KPH will be more than 25KPH as per the Bosch. Parts is slightly less than the cube

Haibike 2018: This one is the most expensive with similar spec as the giant but the yamaha motor which is 70Mn say it will do 45KPH

Wh not W. Watts is instantaneous power, Watt Hours are that power for an hours time.


The first/second links are bicycles. The third is a motorbike that can never be insured so can never be taken on the public streets. Private land only.

At what point does become a motor bike?

When it has a throttle or pedal assist speed over 25kph/15mph or more than 250W.

Not a motorbike as such, just not road legal. You can obvs use off-road or on private roads.

The "S" model is listed on the Haibike site under the "Xtreme" designation, if you use the compare function you can see the diff.
