Pepsi Max can for a Euro - a Dublin bargain
Wooly hat from Penneys, we'll need that soon
Green Pringles in the shape of a crescent moon
High prices like high tides, big legs take giant strides,
    Huge rollercoaster - giant ride.
Sitting on a Clydesdale - giant ride.
Seven foot model - giant ride.
I cry for the prices at Donnybrook Fair - or should I say Donnybrook UNfair
Kofi Annan at a carnival that's a UN fair
Gay fruit you bent pair, I ain't scared of poetry
    *pause for snapping thumbs*
    Something something the river liffey
Something something can you break a fifty?
Nah the recession has me f*cked like an old toaster.
    *pause for snapping thumbs*
No mates cuz I'm an old loaner who drives an old motor but can I motor boat you?
Me too, green shoes, Fruit of the Loom, or is it fruit of the loins? Or is it fruit of the lion?
I choose the nine, repeal the eighth, sever the seventh and sh*t the sixth,
I plead the fifth and then go forth like Richard the 3rd, slipping on turds in Abrakebabra
    Not even in the bathroom...
    *pause for snapping thumbs*
I'm hungry so I want chicken fillet in a roll, or is that chicken soup for the soul? Or is that midget glue in the hole?
    "Is that all?"
    No, poetry is all.
It is all around us like Dublin bus and I want candy, said the casting director of Uncle Buck.
So buckle up and let's pour Ballygowen into super soakers.
Oh wait we can't because mother natures hates Ireland.
It's not warm enough, like an old toaster
*pause for thumb snapping because it's a repeat reference*
Spain are getting a heat wave which is like the corrupt bankers of the free state getting a pay rise
    *pause for extreme thumb snapping*
Kinahan or Hutch? Who do you choose? I choose life. I see the hate in those who didn't repeal the eighth
because they do not believe in crescent moons like me the poet.
    Something something Emmet Kirwan
Something something can we save Burma?
Nah Rambo already did in the last installment, but did Sly Stallone repeal the eighth?
Nah he just peeled the skin of an ape and used it to infiltrate the camp of hate which is buried inside his soul like a trip....to....champion....sports
*pause for snapping thumbs because you slowed down the delivery for emphasis*
Why do prayers end with "Amen" when hitmen in Dublin are aimen at Jens Lehmann like...a...Premier League...foot...baller?
    Pat Kenny is a c*nt.

I won a 'slam' competition with that.

The competition must have been fierce.

It was but they needn't have turned up. When I get introspective it's game over and they knew it.

Do you recite this in a Dublin accent while wearing a tracksuit and a baseball hat?..

If that wasn't recited in a strong Dublin accent, I'm calling the guards.

Thanks. I'll be performing this live in the main square in Temple Bar on 8:08pm on Wednesday night - the eighth of the eighth - to obviously commemorate a pretty important issue: should we bring the eighth back?

It may not be a serious piece Pete.

Poetic license is a license to make up words if you can't think of one that rhymes.

Words: Are they all not spoken?

Like the wind and the rain.
    Failing in pain.
    Wind, rain, falling, pain.
    Spain.
    Shane.
    I have no mane.
    Because I'm NOT a horse –
    Galloping through fields.

    I'm not a horse.

    I am not a horse.
