Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wedding

    Hi All,

I'm attending my brothers wedding in a couple of weeks, and I'm struggling outfit wise. The wedding itself is more on the casual side (no church/hotel) Ceremony and Afters in a restaurant/bar basically! Still a wedding nonetheless.

I am plus size, I have a long black plain maxi dress (is black okay?) it has short sleeves and goes down passed my ankles. I'm happy enough with this, but it's quite plain and I would need something over it.

How should I style this? Can I? I'm not a fan of heels so what would the alternative be also? Accessories?

    Help! :pac: :o

Yes I think a black maxi would be fine , if it's a nice dressy type fabric ( not Jersey/ t-shirt type fabric)
You could get a lovely bolero type beaded shrug to dress it up , I've seen them in folkster in dublin or kilkenny but probably in accessorize or debenhams also.
Then pick accessories to match , metallic like gold, silver or pewter are dressier, so choose flat sandals ( or wedges) in those colours if possible and jewellery or bag to match from penny's.

Oh the capelet is just great and would be perfect over a long plain dress!
With earrings and silver flat shoes, - and a chic hairstyle - your troubles are over.
