Great to see the manager support Pogba any which way he can.

I think I speak for us all when I say I am Looking forward to a season of good , consistent performances and no excuses will be needed for Pogba cause like he’s obviously going to give it his all, what with being captain aswell... like most top players he won’t divide opinions cause his on field efforts will be there for all to see...

Since he has shown a great capacity to play a more defencive role for France I don’t think we need to worry about him underperforming in the same position if he’s asked to do the same for united.

I’m also looking forward to him putting transfer rumors to bed if he’s asked again and clarifying that his “I’m a united player at least for the next few months” comments were just lost in translation.. Cause he’s totally committed to united and wants to win the league and champions league at our great club.....

He did ok ,didn't particularly stand out.Valencia is safe enough for now.

A few more 90mis for reserves will do him no harm.

Disagree, went and watched it last night. Him and Chong on the right were decent. Nice to see a RB who goes forward and never checks back. Reminds me a lot of shaw with his style and he has a good leap. Chong could be big, very big. Non stop running for 90mins

Although our midfield was terrible, pretty easy for Reading at times whom deserved to win.

It's U23s,he would want to be more than decent there before I'd think he is ready for first team games or ahead of Valencia.

The start of a decent run of games on paper that we really need take advantage of. Huge game really even this early on in season. 3 points would be most welcome.

Not confident though and can see us staggering to 1-1

In the first 12 minutes I’ve counted 3 long balls from spurs at home...

For those Desperate for him to replace Jose, tis an interesting fact to note......

5 on the bounce for Liverpool. Will be rooting for Chelsea or City to be the lesser evil in record quick time this season.

We need Man City firing on all cylinders this season, I feel pathetic to say.

Lads it's four games in. Nothing stopping United putting a run together and beating Liverpool as well. Why would you be hoping Chelsea or City would do your job for you

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Totally naive management from Poch leaving two at the back constantly to face Liverpool’s front three. Stupid actually. Liverpool haven’t even had to work for the goal.

Utd haven’t a hope of challenging this season. Many said it before a ball was kicked.

Not that I’d be handing anyone the title in September.

I would say there is not a single Utd supporter that I know who thinks we have the capacity to finish ahead of city or Liverpool this season.

Maybe some of the Utd posters here are more optimistic but based on our preseason, what we've produced so far, our poor transfer window etc... I'm not holding out any hope.

Have you seen us this season ? We're not title contenders. It's between yourselves and City. Still feel City will pip you guys to it. The joys of being a Utd fan in 2018.

Wouldn't expect United to finish ahead of City who I think will be champs again but Pool aren't someone to particularly fear.
Good to watch but don't think they are good enough to win any of the major trophies, similar to United really.
5 wins but haven't played great nor had any test yet.

Poch was an embarrassment today, got it all wrong and yet some people will be crowing for him to be the next manager.

Must win later but its hard to know which Manchester United is gonna turn up these days so can't say it's gonna be a win for sure!

Watford have made a great start they will be a lot more confident then we currently are but we should be beating them.

Already where looking and hoping for the rest to slip up though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

The title race was over for us the minute the transfer window ended.

A lot of optimism today from United fans, Watford can go joint top of the league on points with a win at home to our pretenders. I’m worried

Hopefully United do a job for pool today and take Watford

Who mentioned beating anyone above them?

You probably should learn to properly read a post before quoting it :o

I'd be more likely to aim that embarrassed emoji at yourself when you re-read it and realize you're saying United are good to watch...

Ofc they should be great to watch. The attacking talent in the squad is ludicrous imo if very unbalanced. They should just bite the bullet and sell Martial in January and get the best right winger in they can find. Dybala can play there. A front three of him Lukaku and Sanchez... lord have mercy. Thats Real level stuff imo.

So are we cheering for Watford today?

Are Pool fans cheering for us?

    I'm so confused.

£50 million Fred seems to have lost his starting place to Fellaini.

    74million surely?

Could be worse tbf, could be getting kept out of the by a journeyman free transfer :D

Makes sense though, Watford are arguably the most physical side in the league and have given sides this season all sorts of problems because of it. Fred struggled a lot against Spurs when they were being physical. Watford have home advantage tonight so they can probably afford to stretch the limits of the rules in the midfield contests even more.

im sure he is well able for it, fellaini is fresh, had last 2 weeks off, fred was away with brazil

  • Fellani did an excellent job protecting the two CBs in last game.

    Deserves to keep his place

I'm concerned where our attacking outlet comes from as Shaw was doing an excellent job.

    Lukaku needs service.

Hope Jesse carves open some space

Fellaini is there to help defend the high balls our defence **** themselves over, given watford have scored lots from set pieces it makes sense

I never said United were good to watch.I said Pool like United aren't good enough to win the major trophies ie EPL/CL.

FFS Stevie Wonder wouldnt say United are good to watch at the moment.

Another poster who could probably do with heeding my advice in the previous post.
