Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pogba is so annoying when you really need him to stand up. Possession wasted easily twice in a row

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,196 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

Need another rather than trying to hold on

Good save from DDG but one you'd expect a decent keeper to make.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Dean doesn't bottle that red of course

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,592 ✭✭✭✭Hotblack Desiato

Phew. A game of two halves Brian...

    Scrap the cap!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,346 ✭✭✭Quandary

DDG saving our 3 points for us.

That was a difficult game. We were really good in patches but made very difficult work for ourselves at the end.

    Sanchez was terrible again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,640 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Wasnt pretty in the end but 3 points is all that matters

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,225 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

Calm and composed first half, complete shìt-the-bed second half. Wasted 3 or 4 easy counters, stupid red card and relied on more last second De Gea heroics to avoid disaster.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,638 ✭✭✭✭bangkok

brilliant 3 points, really needed that today

The counters are maddening and I'm not sure how we are supposed to fix them. Just wrong options chosen nearly every time.

Eh? He only got back from Brazil yesterday.

Same with Pereira. Will more than likely see Fred playing and Pereira on the bench next Saturday with Matic suspended

You'd imagine the likes of Fred and Perriera will play vs Young Boys. We shouldn't need our first team there

We're both happy tonight, one less team with max points. Good job by Utd this evening.

If I was Jose and Ed I’d start putting wheels in motion to offload Sanchez in January.

Absolute non entity, on ridiculous money that is going to cause problems in other contract negotiations and just not doing anything.

Flog him off and make a few quid before everyone gets wise to him having lost it.

Most frustrating player I see for us without fail. We’ve actually come off horrendously from that swop deal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Pogba was brilliant for around 40-50 minutes and then utterly atrocious when needed. No matter how much talent he has I would never trust him.
Hope he moves on next summer and we look elsewhere.

Great result overall but reverted to type a bit for the last 20 minutes.

Fellaini motm again. Matic was great too as was Lukaku and Smalling.

Valencia muck yet again and Martial was a joke when he came on.

Not been funny but do you remember how bad mkhitaryan was before he left? Sanchez may not be doing that well now but if prefer his work rate in and around the team anyday before take miki back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

At least Sanchez keeps looking for the ball and doesn't hide.
Mikhitaryan can turn into Lord Lucan for game after game.

Job done in a tough fixture against a football-playing side.

We should have been more than 2-0 up by half-time with our route one approach. Thankfully those misses didn't come back to haunt us at the end.

Fellaini was great, Matic and Pogba solid for much of the game but brainless towards the end. However, all of them failed for that Watford goal. Lindelof was tracking his man, Smalling likewise, but Gray was left in an acre of space at the second line where a CM should have been picking him up.

Oh well. Deserved 3 points and I'll take a similar performance and 3 points away to these young lads on Wednesday.

Just about hung in there in the end. Midfield showed signs of improvement in first half. We're not getting the best out of Sanchez at all, it's something the coaches will have to keep working on.

Was happy enough with how most of the team played but Martial doesn't look interested.
