Smalling all at sea here. Even against Watford where everybody said he did well, I thought he struggled against Deeney in the air, which is unforgivable for a man of his size.

That's cos we have watched Val end attacks for the last 3 or 4 years, its the kids first start so he will be allowed some slack.

Great space down the left there, however, Pogba had to literally point out to Shaw where to make the run when it seemed obvious what he should do. I believe that's why Mourinho was having issues with Shaw.

What are Fred's qualities again? He looks decent but I couldn't really mention any one thing he's above average at from what I've seen so far this season. Tenacity, maybe? Is that what's worth 55 million?
